Three Norwegian companies receive a total of 40 million kroner to invest in Ukraine.

Last week, Norad – Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation announced that Fenix Repower has been selected as one of the first three companies to receive support through a business support scheme for investing in Ukraine. We are honoured and humbled to be trusted with funds to help us contribute to the Ukrainian energy sector.

This funding helps us do a deep dive into how we can make colocation of the Wind/Solar energy source with batteries, profitable enough to attract foreign investment. We strongly believe that batteries are key to ease the entry of renewable energy into the national grid, contribute to the energy production decentralisation effort and allow much more efficient use of the grid that already exists.

We are developing many different wind projects in Ukraine at the moment and the first application of the findings will be on one of these. The results will also be shared with the industry at large.
